A tarot reader, you can be sure, can be a very controversial figure in any community, but especially in the area of the US known as the "Bible Belt." We readers have our hands full trying to assist those who want our help. So, it can be very difficult when someone who claims to represent their faith in a loving way starts wagging a finger at you and telling you that their way is the only way and if you don't turn from your 'evil ways' that you're going to H__L!
Right! Well, I suppose in their minds they are really afraid. That's my personal controversy with many of the mainstream religious folks. They preach love and instill fear? Isn't that an oxymoron of sorts?
I can't let this bother me, though, because ever since I started to practice my philosophy I am filled with joy and brimming over with love for everyone. Even the finger waggers!
I have been truly 'saved' by LOVE and the Goddess fills me everyday with the joy and gladness of just being and that's the truth!
So, the next time someone comes on to you spewing fear and wagging their finger at you, just take a deep breathe and blow the hate away. Then tell that person that they are loved and you hope they have a wonderful day! Lead by example. Always keep in mind that what you send out comes back and that will make this much easier to do!
